We got our pictures today. I'll send more as Hap grows up. Today was the first time we heard Hap bark. Just like a baby with all these new things he does. He is still being a good boy.

EMILY
This is a beautiful Christmas picture we received of Labradoodle Emily and her little girl, Haven.
Emily is such a joyful addition to our family. She is the sweetest, most loving animal I've ever known.
My daughter Haven adores her. Emily is truly a therapy dog without ever being trained to do so. It is just her nature. She goes through the tunnels during Haven's therapy, gets on the swings, and goes to all the other children and loves hem. Haven decides if it's ok for Emily, it's ok for her. Emily somehow seems to know exactly what Haven needs even when people around her don't. So I thank you for our blessing.COCO

BEAU
I can not begin to tell you what a wonderful addition to our family Beau has been. He is a very quiet and mellow boy who loves to play and loves all the attention we give him. Both Ben and Sam love him very much as do Ingrid and I. He has grown to about 30 pounds and has a jet black coat that is soft to the touch. Every where we take him people ask about him and where we got him from. We have given several people your information. As I am sure you know Beau's birthday is coming up in just a few weeks. We will make sure that we send you some pictures of him for you to post on the website. Thanks again for this wonderful addition to our family. We will be in touch with you soon.
All the best The Basson family.

Hi Jean,
Just want to get you up to date a little bit with Paddy.
Everything is going extremely well!! He had the initial week of jet-lag and relocation but since then he has been great. He sleeps all night (usually) unless Carol or I get up for some reason then he thinks his night is over! Fortunately this doesn't happen too frequently. His house-breaking has been the easiest of any dog I have ever had. Once we figured out what he was trying to tell us everything has been going perfectly for the last 15 days or so. He has fit into our family very rapidly and is an instant hit wherever he goes.
My 85 year old father fractured his pelvis about 2 weeks before Paddy was to arrive with us and he was quite depressed at the thought of being in the hospital and not seeing the new puppy. Three days before Paddy arrived Dad was transfered to a rehap facility that allows dogs to visit.
My dad has always liked the name Yogi for a dog so we decided to rename Paddy Yogi. First Saturday morning after Paddy's Friday night arrival we went into the rehap ctr and I went up to my Dad's chair, placed the puppy in his lab and said, Dad meet Yogi. It brought tears to his eyes.
Dad has since been transfered home and is slowly healing. Yogi visits him every day and really cheers Dad up.
Yogi had his last shot today and all is well. He stants about 14 inches tall and weighs 12.4 pounds. He is getting more handsome every day. I'll send some pictures in the next few days.
Thanks again for everything.

NESS
A letter from ness
Dear Mamas Jean and Liz,
I want to write to you with my lovely white-tipped paws to let you know that I am doing just fine on my first full day away from home. I miss all of you very much but I'm trying not to show it 'cuz I know I'm supposed to be really good. So I'm pouncing on rubber balls, picking up every stick in my mouth (and there are alot of sticks here!), sitting when they ask me to, having naps in my crate (which I'm going in to all by myself), hugging my new friends with my paws around their neck when they pick me up, and scarfing down my food just so they know I'm doing fine.
I also want to thank you for sending such good instructions. Beccy and Judy seem really nice but I don't think they know as much about puppies as you do. Your notes have helped them and they're trying really hard to figure out what I'm telling them. I was glad to have my blanket and my collar and leash with me and now they also know all about my family and stuff. You two are such good Moms.

A Letter from Ness, a Suzette Puppy to her Sister Clio who was still at home.
Dear Clio,
I would have recognized you anywhere if we bumped into each other rump-to-rump but it’s great to see your pictures! What a blond bombshell you are. I would have to do some serious ‘primping’ to have you want to claim me as your sister. Either that or you could just tag me as the unkempt one….I’m OK with that. It sounds like you’ve been busy with all your schooling and elder-visiting. I’ve been just doing the home-school thing and, from the enthusiastic reactions I get from people who meet me I figure I’m doing alright. They don’t seem as keen when I jump up on them (especially after mudpuddling). As much as I’ll never understand humans need to be clean, I’m trying to contain myself to four feet on the ground (boring!). Having said that, I live in this wonderful place where I can explore, chase squirrels, meet tons of little people, dabble in the lake (still not that keen to swim but I do occasionally just to prove myself), and romp with neighbour dogs. (These dogs are not nearly as fun as my Grand Forks family but I pretend for their sakes.) I even get to ride in a boat sometimes. I’m good at knowing that canoeing is for being calm and motorboats is for having your ears flap in the wind. I gather you’re going to be moving away sometime soon. I’ll do my best to see if there’s anyone in our area who might have a place for you. I can’t imagine that people wouldn’t be fighting over you. I’m told all the time that I was the most socialized, relaxed, secure, well-mannered puppy ever and that Liz and Jean had obviously done an incredible job as breeders. As soon as other people know that, they’re going to want you big time!! And you’ll be fine – it’s hard to leave home but, based on my experience, it’s pretty cool to see and be loved by the rest of the world. Just a little more bragging – my green eyes get admired regularly along with my teddy bear coat. I weigh about 28 pounds at 5 ½ months (I LOVE my food). I was completely fine in my crate but have now moved to a ‘big girl’ bed. I sleep through the night no problem and, right from the beginning, figured out that squatting happens on grass not rugs. And I’ve learned that people really like me to show off my ‘tricks’ for other people. (I think it makes them feel smart when I show how smart I am!). Glad we figured out this blog thing….feels good to stay in touch. I hope someone soon realizes what a find you will be!! Tail wags and furry smiles.

Hi Jean

Hi Helena,
Jean from Over The Moon Labradoodles asked if I would drop you a note regarding their puppy training services. Quite frankly after having 2 other dogs that were trained by me there would be no other way I would have taken my sweet dog Buddy...Kathy gave my dog a huge jumpstart and definitely saved me a lot of work. Briefly - he flew from Canada to NY with a stop over in Minneapolis...so he traveled all day - when I picked him up - his crate was DRY..NO POOP NO PEE...he held it in that long and was only 5 months old when I got him..from the day I brought him home he has slept at night in his crate without a whimper and goes in willingly...hes a calm dog (picked by Jean)he potties on command (this was a very big thing for me as I didn't want to deal with a dog that would go in my home) he has had a few accidents, but they were just that, accidents. Buddy walks well on a leash, is extremely socialized and knows all his basic commands, sit, stay, down, etc. Kathy also taught him to shake a paw and we now have him doing hi-five. I did pay extra and had Buddy stay more than the four weeks -
Jean is a wonderful breeder and I cant thank Kathy enough for the head start Buddy had. Attached are pictures of Buddy that Kathy took while he was training with her. Kathy updated me every week.
If I could take another dog I would and only from Jean with training from Kathy
I HIGHLY recommend the training.
Hope this helps you make your decision.
Hi All,
Buddy here....just wanted to check in to let all of you know I am doing great.. .Ive really come to like New York...when I arrived my mom and brother let me out of my crate and i cried and peed both at the same time...my mom said kathy did a great job with me as I traveled from Canada to New York and kept it in...anyway when I got home I met my two new doggie brothers Rocky and Sammy...Rocky loves to play with me, but Sammy doesnt like me very much..oh well..maybe one day he will...I love my new family and lick each of them equally...besides shaking a paw I now do high-five AND I have a new trick...when I am eating and my two brothers watch I stand over my bowls and if they come near me I growl even when I am eating....Ive been groomed and I am just soooooo handsome, my mom loves to run after me with the brush but I dont like it so I always run away from her when I see it in her hand....I will send you pictures of me very soon.
Hey Clio, my mom says that someone should take you really soon because if you are anything like me they will be very very happy..Kathy did a great job with me...I share a room with my brother Gregory...he puts me in my crate and then plays xbox....
Gotta go now

Hi Jean,
I wanted to drop a quick note to say hi, and let you know that Andy is doing super. We are in week 2 of his puppy socialization/training class and he is so attentive and sweet ... it really makes the "training" a breeze. We are working on down and leave it and my personal favorite - "kiss" right now. The kiss isn't actually in the class, but it is my version of "touch" which is in the training program - I just love the puppy kisses more! He actually does puppy push ups pretty well (sit, down, sit, down, etc.) many repetitions for one little piece of kibble. It has gotten very warm here (should be 100 F tomorrow). So, we purchased a child size wading pool to help the pups stay cool & Andy LOVES it. He splashes around and runs through it - really entertaining to watch. He sleeps part way through the night in his kennel (has grown into a larger one) and usually gets us up around 4 a.m. for potty time (can hold it about 5 hours). Then, I have started bringing him into bed with us & his sisters - he loves that snuggle time! He goes to the door for potty about 1/2 the time & has rung the "go out bell" that sits at the door 2 or 3 times. We've been on a couple of neighborhood walks and he does very well on leash and he's such a confident and happy boy. (He's about 15.5 pounds now)
Peggy
Hi Jean & Liz,
We saw the pictures of Doni ... what a wonderful, beautiful pup. Our son is moving out on his own and keeps "threatening" to take our Andy. Doni would be such a lifetime friend ... but Jason is just getting established & can't quite make the payment. He did ask if we'd "provide daycare", which of course Dennis jumped on with a big grin! Thought we'd let you know that Andy is now at 45 pounds & about 21". He is an amazing pup - everyone loves him. He loves to lay in the cool grass in the morning or late evenings while we sit on the patio with a glass of wine. You can't say "walk" or he perks up & runs for the door ... he loves his early morning walks with Dennis & me. Dennis is now working from home full time & he and Andy have developed a tremendous, strong love ... complete with a language all their own. Our first grandchild was born last November and it has been fun watching Andy with her. He insists on licking her head ... but then is very gentle & careful around her. He worries over her in her crib ... sitting and watching her while she sleeps. Emma just kind of leaves the baby alone, Lucy is a bit nervous, but Andy is so wonderful with her. When I change her he will lay nearby and watch - always interested but not in the way at all.
Hope you are doing well.

ARI
Hi Jean and Kathy,
Just a quick note to let you know Ari is doing great and we are all enjoying each other immensely. For the last two weeks Vincent has been taking her to puppy classes and pet dog training with Jill Skorochod here in Toronto and she is doing well, they both are enjoying it a lot.
I hope you are both doing well that's it for now.
Take care and thanks again to both of you,
Wayne Gagnon
Hi Jean,
The photos from Greece and Turkey are beautiful just took a look after I got back from walking Ari. I will be sure to send take a picture of Vincent and Ari or of her and all of us and send it as we do not have anything current. She really has grown. I liked Clio's blog it looks nice. Not sure if Ari would remember her sister now but I will show her later as she is taking a nap ( nice life ). I will ask Vincent if he has anything special he wants to say later as I told him I was emailing you today.
Thanks again for the beautiful puppy,
Ari, Vincent, Sheila and Wayne
PS is Clio fixed now or could she still be a breeder? I did have someone ask if there were any more puppies like Ari.
